Guidelines for Selling

  1. Acceptable items: We will only accept uniform pieces purchased from CFj.  Every item should be clean, stain free and have minimal wear and tear.  Do not bring dingy or stained items OR items in need of repair. We reserve the right to pull items that do not meet these criteria.
  2. Preparing Items to Sell: Clean and pressed items sell best.
    • All tops and jumpers must be hung on hangers with hook facing left. (The hook will look like a ? when looking at the front of the garment.)
    • All skirts, pants, and shorts must be hung on the clip-type pant hangers.
  3. Barcode Tags: Tags must be printed on card stock (not paper).  Card stock is inexpensive and can typically be purchased at Wal-Mart, Sam’s, or an office supply store.
  4. Tagging: Barcode tags will be pinned to the left side of the garment.  As you are looking at the clothing item on the hanger (with hook facing left), the tag will be on your right.  Pin tag to the shoulder of tops, jumpers, and jackets.  On bottoms the tag will be pinned on the front waist/pocket area.
  5. Pricing:
    • Minimum price is $2.00
    • Use whole dollar increments (i.e., no $8.50, $5.99, etc.)
    • We have created a Pricing Guide for your convenience. This guide shows retail pricing and suggested pricing for items in fair and good condition, as well as items that are new with tags.  This document is meant to be a guideline and not a mandate.
    • Consignors will receive 85% of the selling price. ACS will use the other 15% to help defray the expenses of providing this sale opportunity for you.
    • Donating of Unsold Items: When entering your items online you may choose whether or not to donate your unsold items to ACS.  Items donated to ACS will be sold or given to those in need of uniform pieces throughout the school year. (You should ignore the discount option.  We do not have a discount sale time.)
