Questions About Consigning…


How do I become a seller?

Register to become a consignor on this site. You can click HERE to register now.

If I was registered to consign for a prior sale, do I have to register again?

Yes, you must register for every sale you want to consign in. You will keep the same consignor number for each sale you participate in.

When do I deliver my things?

Consignors make an appointment online to drop-off their items to sell during the item delivery times. Please refer to the actual sale schedule found on the Calendar page for actual item delivery times for the upcoming sale. Please allow enough time in your schedule at item delivery to have your items checked in and to place them in their appropriate locations on the sales floor. Can someone else drop-off my items for me?

Anyone can drop-off your items. Please make sure they know your consignor number and have your signed Recall Waiver when they come. They will be responsible for helping to place your items on the sales floor, as well as returning any items to you that Dittos for Kiddos chooses not to accept. If they are dropping off for more than one consignor, make sure they have an appointment for your items and that they know to separate the consignor numbers as they bring the items inside for item count verification.

Will you take all my items?

Each consignor may bring as many items as they choose, as long as the limits on certain items are observed (see Acceptable Items).  Also, we will be screening items very closely as to maintain the quality of the sale. Please don’t be offended if we ask you to take back some of your items. It is often easy to miss a spot or a tear when you are getting your items ready at home. We want to be known for having the best quality merchandise. Many of our consignors are also our biggest shoppers and we want you to have confidence that you are buying the best at the Dittos for Kiddos sale. We also check to make sure items brought to the sale are for the appropriate season. Please see the Acceptable Items page for further information.

Can I pick-up my unsold items?

Consignors have the option of picking up their unsold items if they wish, but only items that the consignor has not marked “Donate” will be available for pick-up. Unsold items with this mark will automatically be donated to charity. Any items you do not pick-up by the end of the pick-up time, regardless of the “Donate” mark, will be donated as well. Please refer to the sale schedule found on the Calendar page for the exact times of consignor pick-up for the upcoming sale.

How do I attend the Consignor’s Pre-Sale?

If you have registered to consign clothing in the sale, you will be issued a Consignor Pre-Sale Pass that will allow you to shop in the Consignor’s Pre-Sale. This pass will be issued to you when you come to drop-off your items. Only one pass will be given per consignor number checked in. You MUST present your pass when you come to shop at the Consignor Pre-Sale. You will also be given a Consignor Half-Price Pass to shop a Consignor Only Half-Price Sale on Friday night before the Half-Price day for the public on Saturday.

How do I get paid?

Dittos for Kiddos pays consignor earnings thru PayPal! Payments are made within 10 business days after Pick up.

Who can I bring to the Consignor Pre-Sale?

It is important that we keep it fair to those who have earned the right to shop at the Pre-Sale by not allowing guests during our Worker and Consignor Pre-Sales. Every consignor will receive a Consignor Pre-Sale Pass, A Guest Pass and a Consignor Half-Price Pass when items are delivered at Item Delivery.  The Guest Pass may be given to a friend to enter later in the evening after the Consignor Pre-sale begins at 5 pm.  Our Shopper Policy for both the Worker AND Consignor Pre-Sales is one adult per pass and No children, other than infants in arms or front packs. NO EXCEPTIONS! Absolutely NO CHILDREN will be allowed in the building on either of these nights. Consignors who bring children will not be allowed in to shop.  (This does not include infants.)  Children 12 and older may be admitted at the Consignor Pre-sale IF THEY HAVE A SEPARATE PASS and must stay with AND shop with an adult who has entered with a pass.

 

Questions About Tagging & Pricing…


Will I get my hangers back?

Hangers from your sold items will not be returned to you, but keep in mind that you will be given the hangers from the items you purchase at the sale, as well as hangers from your unsold items.

How do I price my items?

How do I make my barcode tags?

Can I participate in the sale if I do not have a computer?

Yes, but you will have to get help from a friend or family member with a computer or use a computer at a place like the public library.  To maximize efficiency we have an online inventory system and use a barcode system.  All sellers must sign up online and enter items into the inventory system.

 

Questions About Shopping…

 

How can I shop BEFORE the public?

Every consignor is given the opportunity to shop before the public by attending the Consignor Pre-Sale. If you want to be absolutely one of the first to shop the sale, then you need to volunteer and sign up as a sale worker. Sale Workers are given the opportunity to shop during the Worker Pre-sale, which takes place the day before the Consignor Pre-sale.  Workers who are not consignors must contact Carole before signing up to work.  Refer to our Volunteer Information Page for more details.

How can I pay for items I buy at Dittos for Kiddos?

We will accept cash, credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard or Discover).  You will need to show ID if using a credit or debit card.

Is there an entry fee to shop?

No Way!  Our sales are always free entry with great selection and savings—What more could you ask for!

Will dressing rooms be available?

No dressing rooms will be available, so you may consider bringing a tape measure and your child’s measurements with you.

Will shopping carts or baskets be available?

We will NOT have shopping carts or baskets at the Consignor Pre-Sale or Opening night to the public.  You will want to consider bringing your own bag or basket in which you can easily carry home your purchases. We may have carts for you to use on all other shopping days but this is not guaranteed.  We usually have a limited number of large bags that you may use while shopping.  We also typically have reusable shopping bags that you can purchase for $1 cash at the entrance.
